Where is the closest shop
There is a Post Office with small store in the village which is approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the Hideaway
Does the local pub serve food
The local pub, the Royal Horseshoes serves home cooked meals most evenings, with lunchtime meals over the weekend. At certain times of the year the pub also provides breakfast on Saturday mornings but please check their website.
Where is the nearest supermarket
There are a number of supermarkets in Melton Mowbray, approximately 5 miles from the Hideaway.
Can we get take aways delivered to the Hideaway
A number of Take away restaurants deliver to the Hideaway, details are provided in the Hideaway Guest Booklet in each shepherd hut.
Are dogs allowed
We have 5 dedicated dog-friendly shepherd huts, including Jacob, Ryeland, Border Leicester, Masham and Lincoln Longwool. We do ask that dogs are kept on their lead on site but there are numerous walks in the surrounding area. There is a small fee for bringing your dog(s)
Is there fishing on the lakes
The lakes are stocked with carp, rud, chub and tench. Fishing is available for Hideaway guests only, there is a small fee and licenses are required.
