Shepherd Huts
The Hideaway is a unique countryside glamping experience where you can choose from our 10 hand made shepherd huts nestled around 2 established fishing lakes. For insurance purposes we are an adult only site and we have a 2 night minimum stay policy.
All our shepherd huts on site that have their own private wood fired hot tub, raised outside deck area, a double bed, TV, kitchenette, ensuite toilet and shower facilities.
We provide complimentary wood, kindling and firelighters for the hot tub for your stay.
We have made a number of changes to 4 of our shepherd huts this winter. Take a look at the new images for Masham, Jacob, Border Leicester and Swaledale. We have left the old images so that you can see the difference.
These shepherd huts are equipped with the following,
- SLEEPING AREA – Built in double bed with pillows, duvet, blanket and linen provided. There are reading lights and a TV at the end of the bed.
- KITCHEN – Fridge with mini freezer, microwave, 2 ring electric hob, toaster, kettle & coffee machine with pods. All cutlery, crockery, glassware, pots and pans are provided. There is an electric heating system built into the skirting board under the kitchen cupboards.
- ENSUITE – Toilet, hand basin, shower. 2 x flannels, 2 x hand towels, 2 x bath towels, 2 x hot tub towels. Mini toiletries are provided.
- OUTSIDE – Raised deck over a paved patio area, metal table & 2 chairs with a wood fired hot tub, firepit and BBQ (all subject to weather conditions).

Kerry Hill
Kerry Hill is our most private hut situated the furthest from the car park. It has a full double bed, smart TV, en suite and kitchenette with an oven.
Kerry Hill benefits from a private 2 person wood fired hot tub, fire pit and BBQ (all subject to weather conditions).
Badger Face
Badger Face is situated at the top left of our site with views overlooking our family farm. It has a full double bed, smart TV, en suite and kitchenette with an oven.
Badger Face benefits from a private 2 person wood fired hot tub, fire pit and BBQ (all subject to weather conditions).
Border Leicester
Border Leicester is one of our dog friendly huts and is situated at the top of our site with views of the Hideaway and our family farm. It has a 3/4 double bed, TV, en suite and kitchenette.
Border Leicester benefits from a private 2 person wood fired hot tub, fire pit and BBQ (all subject to weather conditions). We hope you like the new interior for 2023.
Swaledale
Swaledale has uninterrupted views over our two fishing lakes. It has a full double bed, smart TV, en suite and kitchenette.

Lincoln Longwool
Lincoln Longwool is one of our dog friendly huts and is situated at the top of our site with a beautiful view of the lakes. It has a full double bed, smart TV, en suite and kitchenette with an oven.
Lincoln Longwool benefits from a private 2 person wood fired hot tub, fire pit and BBQ (all subject to weather conditions).
Herdwick
Herdwick is easily accessible from the car park and has a view of the lake and our family farm. It has a full double bed, smart TV, en suite and kitchenette.

Teeswater
Teeswater is found in the middle of the Hideaway and has a view of the lake to the left and our farm to the right. It has a full double bed, smart TV, en suite and kitchenette.

Jacob
Jacob is one of our dog friendly huts and has uninterrupted views of our 2 fishing lakes. It has a full double bed, smart TV, en suite and kitchenette.

Ryeland
