Discover the Leicestershire Wolds...
The Shepherd huts are situated on the outskirts of the village of Waltham on the Wolds, within 15 minutes walking distance of the local pub, deli and other amenities. Our village is located 5 miles north of the quaint market town of Melton Mowbray, the renowned rural capital of food.
Hidden away in a peaceful location within the beautiful Leicestershire countryside ,the stylish Shepherd huts are built to offer luxury glamping. Lovingly hand crafted on our own family farm their design has been based on those used by shepherd’s centuries ago, but exceeding modern standards.
Each Shepherd hut has been positioned in an elevated lakeside setting, carefully landscaped to ensure all Shepherd huts retain their privacy whilst enjoying their own view of the lakes. The Shepherd huts benefit from a patio area to sit whilst you enjoy a glass of wine, where you can appreciate the surrounding countryside, our own farmland, with cattle grazing in neighbouring fields.
The Shepherd huts have been tastefully decorated inside to offer a distinctive character, finished to a high standard with quality features which add to the feeling of exclusive luxury. All huts have en-suite facilities with towels and linen provided, and Wi-Fi throughout, everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible, and allow you to relax and slow down to nature's pace.
There is thermostatically controlled heating in every hut, but for that cosy feel, all huts have a log burner fitted to keep you warm during the cooler weather, ensuring that the Shepherd huts are available all year round. Each Shepherd Hut will have its own private BBQ and fire-pit for guests to enjoy. Most Shepherd huts also have wood fired hot tubs which can be lit prior to arrival upon request. You will find a range and variety of appliances in each hut, with all Shepherd huts benefitting from a TV, microwave oven with grill, electric hob and full sized fridge; please view individual huts for exact details pertaining to that hut as some also contain a full sized electric oven.
Fair Farm Hideaway will be closed over the Christmas period to allow staff to spend special times with family and friends. However, in December we will be celebrating the start of the winter season. Do come along and join us for our first winter season, relax in our cosy sheep’s wool insulated Shepherd huts beside the log burners.
We would like to wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year and we look forward to welcoming guests in 2018.
